Klingspor-Museum Offenbach

The Klingspor Museum in Offenbach am Main, Germany, was established in 1953. It was named after Dr Karl Klingpor (1868-1950), who, with his brother, Wilhelm, ran the Gebr. Klingspor type foundry. Dr Klingspor's private collection of books and material on typography, calligraphy and the art of the book forms the nucleus of the museum's exhibits. The Klingspor's Web site contains a list of over 2,100 type designers together with biographical information and examples of their work in PDF form. Text in German. Translates well using the Google translation service.
